The Pequest trout hatchery is located in Oxford. This hatchery stocks over 200 New Jersey state lakes and rivers. Tours are available. There are educational programs about raising trout.

The commercial fishing industry in New Jersey hauls in more than a billion pounds of fish each year. Plenty of fresh seafood is always available at the market and restaurants in most every region of New Jersey.

Plenty of marinas throughout the state accommodate those who like to go boating to fish.
