New Jersey Regions

 

New Jersey attractions include gardens, historical sites, state parks, beautiful beaches, campgrounds, ski resorts, antique shopping, wildlife refuges, outdoor adventure and other great things to see and do.

The Gateway region is located in Northern New Jersey near New York City. See Liberty State Park that includes Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. There are museums, historical sites, shopping, arts, culture, art galleries, waterfront dining and more.

The Delaware River Region is located in South Jersey. There are Historical landmarks, farm land, parks, antique shops, culture, theatre, entertainment and more. Trenton the capital of NJ is located here. Princeton University is here too.

The Skylands is in the northwestern part of the state. There are rivers, lakes, forests and parks here. You can go camping, swimming, hiking, hunting, fishing and picnic. Hike the Appalachian Trail here. You can rent a cabin here. There are boat rentals available. Go rafting, tubing, kayaking or canoeing. In the wilderness areas, you can see bald eagles  and more wildlife. You can go ice skate, ice fish, cross country skiing and/or snowboarding in the winter.

The Jersey Shore is where you will find miles of ocean beaches. You can go swimming, surfing or just play in the waves. Stroll on a boardwalk at Seaside Heights. Enjoy fine dining at one of the area's seafood restaurants.

The Greater Atlantic City Region is where you will find Atlantic City. This is the main attraction of the region. You can charter a boat for deep sea fishing. Take a cruise for whale watching or see dolphins. Gamble at a casino. Go shopping, golfing, surf fishing, surfing, shelling or any number of outdoor activities and water sports.

The New Jersey Southern Shore is located along the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay. Swim. Surf. Fish. Golf. Play in the ocean. Have fun in the sun.
